Manner Hotel - Rooftop Bar

The rooftop bar at The Manner Hotel in Soho is a true centerpiece of sophistication, highlighted by a stunning blue terrazzo countertop that we had the privilege of fabricating. This custom-designed creation combines vibrant aesthetics with expert craftsmanship, seamlessly harmonizing with the hotel’s modern, luxurious ambiance. The process began with meticulous planning as the Standard Hotel design and Hannes Peer teams collaborated to select a vivid blue hue for the cement base, paired with a blend of aggregates to craft a striking terrazzo pattern. A precision-engineered mold ensured crisp lines and structural integrity, laying the foundation for a flawless final product.

The countertop was cast carefully compacted to ensure uniformity and vibrancy. After curing for several days, the surface was expertly polished to reveal the intricate patterns of the aggregates, transitioning through grades to achieve a high-level sheen. Once transported and installed with care, a protective sealer was applied to enhance its durability and gloss. The result is a breathtaking piece that not only serves as a functional bar surface but also as a work of art, embodying the elegance and refinement synonymous with The Manner.
