Ester Partegas

Ester Partegas is a visual artist based in New York City, Marfa, and Barcelona. In 2015, Partegas was commissioned by multiple departments of the City of New York to create a permanent public art piece for the Plaza de las Americas at W. 175th Street and Broadway. “The Source” is a beautiful public artwork that also functions as a public water fountain. Oso was commissioned by Aqua Design Group to fabricate concrete panels that clad each side of the fountain. The panels were imprinted with milk crates as a part of the artist’s vision.
